Dr Rory Piper is a Clinical Lecturer in Neurosurgery at the UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health. His research focuses on optimising surgical outcomes for children with drug-resistant epilepsy, combining advanced brain connectivity techniques with cutting-edge neuromodulation approaches such as deep brain stimulation. He is a Co-Investigator on the CADET Project (Children’s Adaptive Deep Brain Stimulation for Epilepsy Trial), which is pioneering adaptive neuromodulation to transform the treatment of severe childhood epilepsy.
