Enforcement procedure
The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is responsible for enforcing the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018 (the ‘accessibility regulations’). Technical information about this website’s accessibility
The MRC CoRE in RND is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.
Compliance status
This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 AA standard, due to the exemptions listed below.
Non-accessible content
The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.
Disproportionate burden
Some of the PDFs that are hosted on this website are provided by third parties and, in some cases, have not been formatted correctly to allow navigation by screen readers. We have assessed whether we can resolve the issues with navigating some PDFs, but because the content was combined into the PDFs (by third parties) is not available to us, we believe that doing so now would be a disproportionate burden within the meaning of the accessibility regulations.
Content that’s not within the scope of the accessibility regulations
The accessibility regulations do not require us to fix PDFs or other documents published before 23 September 2018 if they’re not essential to providing our services.
3rd Party Content and Platforms
Video content on this site is presented using the embedded YouTube or Vimeo viewer. This is served from YouTube or Vimeo, and it may not meet accessibility requirements, but when the content has been created by the MRC CoRE in RND, we will ensure the content meets the requirements, such as having closed captions for all spoken information.
These embedded video players are provided by third parties, and are outside our control, and we cannot ensure they meets accessibility requirement.
Improve Accessibility
We continue to provide training to new contributors so they submit only accessible content.
