Research Themes

Tools (devices, software, algorithms)

Wearable technologies can be used to objectively quantify symptoms, track disease progression, and provide reliable endpoints for clinical trials. We develop machine learning and signal processing pipelines to analyse longitudinal sensor data and interactive computer games to collect structured remote-monitoring data.

Approaches

Experimental Medicine

Through the integration of theoretical modelling and neuroimaging, we aim to uncover key disease mechanisms and enable the delivery of dynamic, mechanism-driven therapies employing invasive and non-invasive approaches.

Computational Modelling

We develop computational frameworks to determine when, where, and how stimulation should be delivered for maximal therapeutic benefit across diverse neurological conditions.

Biomedical Engineering

Effective symptom management requires patient-specific tuning, yet optimisation in clinical settings is resource-intensive. We are therefore developing strategies to enable remote therapy adjustment.
