Sophie Smith

Sophie graduated with a B.Sc degree in Neuroscience from Cardiff University in 2020, and before joining the NaPS lab at Cardiff University worked as a laboratory technician in schools across Wales & England, becoming an accredited laboratory technician by the ASE.

Sophie has an interest in the manipulation of memory, particularly emotional memory linked to mental health and currently supports ongoing sleep studies conducted by Cardiff University's NaPS lab using Targeted Memory Reactivation (TMR). Additionally, Sophie supports the ongoing EEG wearable headband development by working with Patient Advisory Groups and also supports lab public engagement, conference organisation and lab administration.
